In 2011, Michael retired from a Senior Management role at Whitney National Bank to travel, spend more time with family and friends, and pursue other life interests. After three years of early retirement, he joined Gulf Coast Wealth Management in 2014 to collaborate with the team and use his knowledge and experience to provide insight to clients with particular interest in retirement and financial planning.  Having “walked the walk” of retirement planning, he brings a rare insight to the process that he enjoys sharing with his clients.  Michael works in partnership with fellow Gulf Coast Wealth Management LPL Financial Advisor, David Pullen, as a member of the Pullen/Guidry Wealth Management Team.

A New Orleans native, Michael holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a Louisiana licensed Certified Public Accountant, LPL Investment Advisor Representative, LPL Registered Representative and General Securities Principal, and a Louisiana licensed Insurance Agent. He is also a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust and Private Banking Schools and The American Bankers Association Graduate School of Bankcard Management.

With more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry, Michael is qualified to deliver comprehensive financial advice to individuals with a wide array of circumstances. His financial industry experience includes Private Banking, Trust and Investments, Brokerage and Securities, Insurance, and Accounting and Tax.

Michael particularly enjoys teaching and training, both internally at the company, and to public groups. He has taught classes at the ABA American Institute of Banking, Loyola University, University of New Orleans, and conducted seminars on Retirement Planning, Social Security, Medicare and Retiree Health Care throughout the metropolitan area and beyond.

When not working or travelling, Michael enjoys spending time with family, especially his four grandchildren.
